IRATA & SPRAT Rope Access Training

Certification that goes beyond the basics: in-depth instruction on rope access technique, rigging, and rescue, delivered by working technicians and finished with an independent third-party assessment. Take IRATA, SPRAT, or both in a dual program.

Payment. Register online with the $850 deposit. The balance, plus applicable taxes, is invoiced before your course start date. Deposits are non-refundable and are deducted from the total course price.

Level 1 to Level 3, plus revalidation
Level 1 · Technician

Entry level

For new technicians. Build the full foundation of rope access work.

Revalidation. Re-certifying technicians train and assess at their existing level with any scheduled cohort. Bring your logbook: technicians with missing or incomplete logbooks cannot be assessed.
Course details
What to expect

Format

Full training days followed by an independent assessment by an IRATA Assessor or SPRAT Evaluator. Pass and you leave with a digital record of attainment while your certification is processed.

IRATA TechConnect

IRATA candidates must register on the IRATA TechConnect portal before the course. We walk you through it in your confirmation pack.

Equipment

All technical equipment is provided, including helmets. Wear comfortable clothing and closed-toe shoes. You receive a training manual on day one, with theory work each evening.

Age & fitness

Candidates must be 18 or older with valid photo ID, physically and mentally fit, and comfortable working at height. If in doubt, see a doctor before registering.

Location

Courses run in Sarnia, Ontario. Venue details and directions are included in your confirmation pack. Corporate cohorts can be delivered on your site.

Upgrades

Level 2 and 3 candidates provide proof of experience: submit the last two pages of your logbook with your registration so we can verify eligibility before the course.
